  • ASSIST
    ASSIST is an online student-transfer information system that shows how course credits earned at one public California college or university can be applied when transferred to another.
  • California Department of Education
    Information on education in California. Site includes statistical data at the state, county, district and school levels along with demographic information on students and staff. Charter schools and special education are also included.
  • College Board
    A "Not-for-Profit" association that has links to colleges and their individual degree programs. Information about the institution's admission requirements and application policy are available. A useful calculator allowing the user to estimate the cost of attendance to a particular institution is provided.
  • Education Index
    Links to over 3,000 sites in sixty-six categories. Links are divided into two main categories: Subject and Lifestage.
  • Peterson's
    This online version of the Peterson publications covers undergraduate and graduate schools, as well as private secondary schools. Information on all aspects of the college search including financial aid and taking standardized tests are included.
  • Teacher Certification
    The UK College of Education web site provides information on the teacher certification requirements for all 50 states.
  • TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language
    This site covers all aspects of taking the computer based test, including preparation, scheduling, costs and locations for taking the test. It also covers the TSE (Test of Spoken English).
  • U.S. Department of Education
    Information on education at the national level. The site includes a link to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the applicable school codes. There is an online version of the booklet, "Student Guide to Financial Aid" and pdf versions of popular publications from the National Center for Education Statistics.
  • U.S. News College and Career Center
    This site has the latest version of the undergraduate and graduate school rankings. There is also a feature to search for schools by various criteria. A comparison of financial aid packages is another useful tool provided at this site.
