Alan Reza is Classified Employee of the Year

Alan Reza, a member of the Financial Aid team at Cypress College, was named as the campus’ Classified Staff Employee of the Year. Reza, was described as an “energetic, well-organized professional who has demonstrated superior leadership and problem solving skills.”

Students describe Reza as “helpful, caring and friendly.”  The nomination of Reza further read: “I find these comments to be valid and truthful considering his multiple skill sets and positive demeanor. He is a leader in our division and, if given the opportunity to complete a routine or complex task, he will always shine. He is one of the most-sought-after members in our office because of his warm, caring personality and expertise. He is goal-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks while providing outstanding customer service. He is committed to the practice of student affairs and actively seeks training opportunities to advance his knowledge and preparation. He approaches his work with integrity, attention to detail and comprehensiveness. Our campus needs more passionate, innovative and ‘down to-earth’ leaders like him. He embodies the spirit of Cypress College and is well-deserving of this honor.”

In addition to his primary role on campus, Reza has played a key role in facilitating effective outreach and recruitment coordination with feeder high schools.
