Employees Celebrated for Service to Cypress College Students
Cypress College hosted its annual End-of-the-Year Luau on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. The event honors employees reaching milestones in their employment at the College and those who are retiring.
The recognition of employees reaching milestones and those who are retiring was held as part of the End-of-the-Year Luau.
Allen Mottershead was honored for his 45 years of service at Cypress College on Wednesday at the annual End-of-the-Year Luau. The Engineering professor was one of 64 employees recognized for their service to the College. Another 17 employees were celebrated on the occasion of their retirement this academic year.
Also participating in the celebration were nearly 30 retirees of the College, dating back to its inception in 1966. They had been invited back to campus for the lunch and for a meeting to help plan the upcoming 50th anniversary celebration organized through the Foundation.
Employees who are retiring at the end of the academic year, or who have already done so, are: Jim Arbogast, George Beyer, Jeannie Blilie, Kenneth Burnett, Helena DeCoro, Carol Green, Diane Henry, Anne Herzog, Manuel Machado, Ron Miller, Jan Nelson, Kris Nelson, Fernando Oliveira, Gloria Pekala, Rebeca Sandoval, Dan Stephens, and Marion Shocklee.
