FINANCIAL AID OFFICE

Dear Cypress College Student:

Don’t forget to apply for Financial Aid for the 2015-2016 school year. January 1, 2015 was the first day you could apply for aid for the 2014-2015 school year. You should apply for financial aid by March 2, 2015 for priority consideration for need-based grants, work-study opportunities or federally guaranteed student loans if you plan on continuing your education in a California College or University next Fall 2015 and Spring 2016.

Students are applying for financial aid in record numbers. It is critical that you get your application submitted by March 2, 2015 so our office can determine your eligibility and offer you a maximum award if you qualify.

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known as FAFSA, is the first step in the financial aid process. Please visit the Financial Aid office webpage to apply for aid now.

Additionally, the Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid website offers valuable information and tools for students who need help paying for college or plan on transferring to higher cost colleges and university next year. Limited funded programs are available to those who meet the March 2, California priority application deadline. Apply now so you can be eligible for the maximum amount of Federal Student Aid possible.

The Financial Aid Office (1st Floor, CCCPLX) has several computers available for you to use as you complete your FAFSA. Friendly financial aid staff can also assist if questions arise. We recommend that you visit our office for help with the FAFSA application. Our hours are Monday–Thursday 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Friday 8 a.m.–12 p.m.

Please always remember to check you myGateway messages for important reminders and notifications from the Financial Aid Office.

Sincerely,

Cypress College Financial Aid Office
