Students: Finals Survival Resources

Does the end of the semester have you tearing your hair out? We know that Finals Week can be super stressful. There’s always a math problem that you can’t quite understand, a paragraph in a paper giving you trouble, or that moment of panic when you realize you haven’t purchased a Scantron for your exam that starts in five minutes.

No worries. We’ve rounded up resources available at Cypress to help you get through the week.

Academic help available at the Learning Resource Center.

What: The Learning Resource Center has:

  • Study space
  • Computers
  • Math Learning Center: Need help with a problem in math, stats, or physics? Have a question about a concept? Go here! They also have computers for online math work.
  • English Success Center: Having problems with a specific part of a paper, or need formatting assistance? They can help, and have computers available for research and writing as well.
  • Individual tutoring available in several different subjects.

Where: Located on the first floor of the L/LRC building.

When: Open extended hours through Wednesday! These extended hours include the English and Math Centers, as well as some individual tutors.

Food and supplies from the Associated Students.

Finals FuelAS will be giving out Finals Fuel supplies Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday they will have food and coffee as well. After 3 pm all four days, college staff will provide supplies on the first floor of the LLRC building.

Best wishes for your final papers, projects, presentations, and exams! Faculty, staff, and the administration hope you do well, and can celebrate like these students when it’s all over.
