The Middle East & Beyond – Two Highly Recommended Courses for Spring 2016

“Mathematics, astronomy and medicine; those are three of the many disciplines that would not exist in their present form without the contributions of Muslim scholars and thinkers throughout the centuries. We in the West don’t often remember that.”—Aaron Schachter, Anchor, BBC “The World”

Enhance your understanding of current events and intercultural exchange through the study of Middle Eastern history (Professor David Halahmy) and Arabic literature (Professor Randa Wabe). Cypress College is pleased to offer two highly-demanded, exceptionally-taught courses that will help you make better sense of today’s interconnected social, political, and religious landscape. Both of these fill fast, so register soon to ensure a seat.
