Social Science Offers General Education, Transfer, & Certificate Programs

Our division provides numerous courses that satisfy the General Education and transfer requirements. We offer a variety of Transfer and A.A. Degree Programs in the disciplines of Anthropology, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Geography, History, Human Services, Philosophy and Religious Studies, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

Career Preparation in Social Sciences

We have many certificate programs to choose from. The Human Services certificate programs include Alcohol and Drug Studies, Conflict Resolution, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Gerontology, Human Services Generalist, and Victimology. The Geographic Information Systems certificate program trains students to analyze problems and create practical solutions using computerized geographic data analysis.

The Paraprofessional in Education Certificate Program prepares Instructional Assistants to assist in classrooms and in the community. If you’re interested in a teaching career at any level, from elementary school to college, the Teacher Preparation Program is for you.
