Career Technical Educational Division

Career Technical Education Programs Among Highest Ranked In The Nation

The Career Technical Education Division provides you with a variety of degree, certificate and transfer opportunities in several vocational and technical disciplines. Whether you are a high school student thinking about a technical career, a transfer student seeking to complete your undergraduate degree in one of our technical disciplines, an adult re-entry student seeking to build your skills or retrain, or an individual seeking personal growth and development, we have a program to fit your needs.

Programs in the Career Technical Education Division are among the highest ranked two-year and shorter programs in the country, contributing to Cypress College's reputation as one of the very best public community colleges. The Automotive Technology program is affiliated with the Toyota Technician Training & Education Technical Education Network (Toyota T-TEN) and is nationally recognized. Both the Automotive Technology and Automotive Collision Repair programs are NATEF Certified.

Learn From Supportive Faculty

The division's faculty is renowned for its range of scholarly interests, technical background, industry affiliations, and commitment to innovative education. Career Technical Education faculty and students work together in a collaborative learning environment that includes the latest in cutting edge technology and instruction.

Maximize Personal Growth & Development

Within the Career Technical Education Division, students discover opportunities for personal and intellectual growth most often associated with highly selective technical colleges and programs. They acquire the skills and achieve a level of training that distinguishes them from others seeking employment in their particular discipline.

Acquire Marketable Skills

Career Technical Education provides students with an opportunity to acquire marketable job skills and occupational training and knowledge that allow them to enter a satisfying career in the field of their choice. It develops in the student a belief in the dignity of work, pride in accomplishment, and a desire to learn.

Employment opportunities are excellent for students who complete a CTE program at Cypress College. In fact, many of our students are able to secure career employment before they complete their instructional program.
