Online BIOL 102 Human Biology

BIOL 102, Human Biology is a 3 Unit course. Three hours of lecture per week for standard on-campus class. Pass/No Pass/Letter Grade Option

The Online class is instructor paced with weekly assignments and quizzes presented in the virtual classroom called Blackboard.  There is no lab. There are only four mandatory on-campus meetings (see dates below) during the semester.
The course is a study of modern biological concepts presented in a human context. The concepts will include human evolution, anatomy, physiology, genetics, population biology, and ecological principles. Included in the course will be discussion on current topics on environmental and public health issues as they relate to the human condition. (Not open to students with credit in BIOL 101 C or BIOL 101 HC.)

Mandatory on-campus attendance is required for the entire class period on the following dates and times, no exceptions:

1) Thursday, 4:00-5:50 p.m., January 20, SEM 124, Orientation
2) Thursday, 4:00-5:50 p.m., February 24, SEM 124, Exam 1
3) Thursday, 4:00-5:50 p.m., April 7, SEM 124, Exam 2
4) Thursday, 4:00-5:50 p.m., May 19, SEM 124, Exam 3
