CONFLICT RESOLUTION CERTIFICATE

This Conflict Resolution Certificate Program in Human Services offers those entering or working in human services the opportunity to examine and practice a variety of communication skills useful in the resolution of conflict. This certificate program will prepare students to assist in the resolution of conflict in the home, at work and in other life settings.  The skills of interpersonal communications, negotiation, mediation and other non-violent, non-litigious processes will be examined and practiced.  A course in management will emphasize the importance of human relations in business.  This certificate program will prepare students for management positions in alcohol and drug treatment facilities.  Courses in Victimology and Cross-Cultural Conflict will cover the experiences of victims and perpetrators in violent and non-violent disputes.  To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of ā€œcā€.  At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College.

Total units required for Conflict Resolution Certificate = 15 Units

To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of ā€œCā€.  At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College.  Consult your counselor if you are interested in the General Education classes necessary for an Associate in Arts Degree.
