Engl 239 Survey of Children's Literature
As the title reveals, this class presents the history of children's literature with an emphasis on award winning books and on the types of literature available from early childhood through the teen years.As a student, you can expect to visit a library with a good children's literature section as you make selections for various assignments. This is an excellent course for students who expect to work with children in any capacity, from future teachers to moms and dads. I have found that students often enjoy reading books they are reporting on to the real critics - children! This is an online class.
