Biography


I teach Medical-Surgical Nursing and Mental Health Nursing in the Registered Nursing program. I also teach a Communications class designed for Health Science students who speak English as their second langauge.

I began at Cypress College in 2002 after a long career in nursing. I have worked in ICU, special surgical floors, dialysis, home care and hospice. I have also previously taught at 3 other colleges.

Nursing is a new adventure every day and I still love the adventures of each day in nursing.

HS 70 Health Care Communication

Nursing is a culture. Many students especially students who have English as second language have trouble adapting to the nursing program. This class will help you practice how to talk to patients,staff and your instructor. This class will also help with studying and test taking.
