Campus Safety

The Cypress College Department of Campus Safety is committed to providing a safe campus environment for its students, faculty, and visitors. The department of campus safety provides security and safety services to the campus. Our campus safety department is responsible for crime prevention and personal safety. While this is our primary responsibility, personal safety and crime prevention does rest with each individual. Therefore, each of us must take personal responsibility for our own safety, as well as for the safety of those around us.

Cypress College Campus Safety Officers patrol the campus 24 hours a day, and 365 days a year. The officers, community service officers, and support staff are available to provide professional service to the campus community.

Community Service Officers

Community Service Officers augment and support the Department of Campus Safety by performing duties not requiring the services of a Campus Safety Officer. Community Service Officers assigned to the field perform duties such as: safety escorts, traffic control, parking enforcement, security patrols, and respond to non-hazardous incidents.
