Cypress College Transcripts
Cypress College has contracted with Credentials, Inc. to provide official transcripts in print and electronic formats via its TranscriptsPlus service. Transcripts will not be available Monday, September 18, 2017, while the College transitions to TranscriptsPlus. Transcripts will be available beginning Tuesday, September 19, 2017, and will allow current and former students of Cypress College to order transcripts 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. 
Ordering Your Transcripts
If you have an urgent need for your transcripts, it is highly recommended that you choose the PDF option for delivery. Transcript requests made using the First-Class Mail option can take up to 10 business days from the day your order is before it is received. When sending a PDF transcript to yourself, please note that your transcript cannot then be forwarded to a different email address. Forwarding a PDF transcript makes it unofficial. To send your transcript to a third party, it is recommended that you direct it to the email address of the intended receiver. This ensures that your transcripts will be considered official by the recipient.

  2. Log in using your Mygateway ID and your password
  3. Click on Webstar in the right corner
  4. Click on the Student Records Tab
  5. Click Request Official Transcript
Once logged in, you will be taken to the TranscriptsPlus website managed by Credentials, Inc. This company has a contract with Cypress College to provide this service to our students and alumni.

Online ordering is available to be mailed within three (3) business days for a fee of $5.00 or mailed same business day, if order received by 2:00 p.m., for a fee of $10.00 per transcript. Please note that TranscriptsPlus uses encryption technology to keep your information secure.
Former Students Former students and Cypress College alumni (who do not have access to myGateway) may still request their transcripts online by using TranscriptsPlus. Payment for transcripts must be made by debit or credit card. For customer service, please contact Credentials, Inc. at (847) 716-3005.

What are E-Transcripts

The term E-Transcript refers to any transcript that is delivered to a recipient in an electronic format. The availability of specific E-Transcript delivery options depends on the individual institution. Some institutions may offer one or more options for delivering your transcript electronically and other institutions may not offer any electronic options.  

What does “PDF Delivered electronically to recipient” mean?

When you see this option on the screen it means that your transcript will be created as a PDF document and we will then notify the intended recipient that it is ready to be downloaded. This method is generally used when you have designated an individual or other non-educational institution who is not a participant in our network as the recipient.  

What does this mean to me and why should I prefer this method of delivery over other methods such as 1st class mail?

E-Transcripts are one of the fastest methods for delivering your transcript to a recipient. Using this option normally means that once the sending school has completed the processing of your order, it will be delivered much faster. In addition, we will send you an email confirming the delivery so you will know immediately that your transcript has been sent. With traditional “First-Class Mail”, there is no way to confirm that your transcript has been received.  

How to I check the status of my order?

You may check the status of your order by visiting Self-Service Plus. You will need your original order number as well as the Student ID number or Social Security number that you entered on your order.

TranscriptPlus Authorization Info
  In order to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), all transcript orders require authorization. Cypress College provides the following procedure(s) for authorizing transcript orders:  
  • Your order can be authorized by e-signature or signing an Authorization Form that we will provide at the end of this ordering process and returning this form via fax or mail.
  • Cypress College provides an additional way to automatically authorize your order if:
    1. You attended Cypress College any time from 1989 to the present
    2. The billing name on the credit card you use to pay for this order matches both the student name on this order and the student name in their records
    3. A specific number of fields in this order such as Student ID, Social Security Number, and Date of Birth match the information in their records
  Records are accessed at Cypress College after your order has been submitted, we cannot tell you definitively at the time you place an order whether the order will qualify for Automatic Authorization. If we successfully authorize your order, we will notify you via email. If we are unable to automatically authorize your order, we will email you an Authorization Form that must be signed and returned via fax or mail before your order can be completed.   • Faster service. Transcript requests may be mailed within one business day after submitting your request (instead of 5 to 7 business days).
  • Easy address look-up.This feature connects you to a database of college and university mailing addresses.
  • Precise addressing.You have control over addresses that are used to send transcripts. No more worries about an inability to read hand-written addresses.
  • Status updates.Receive email or fax updates on the status of your request, from receipt of the order to notice when the transaction is complete. This includes confirmation numbers, express delivery tracking numbers, and toll-free phone assistance. If there is a problem in processing your request, you are notified via email or fax (your choice).
  • Exact pricing.When your request is submitted, you know the total cost of the request, and this amount will be charged to your credit card. No more worrying about delays due to incorrect payments.
