Cordero comes to Cypress from Charleston Southern University where he helped the Bucs produce one of the top offenses in the Big South Conference. While at CSU, Cordero saw two of his infielders receive Louisville Slugger Division 1 Freshman All-America honors. Before heading to the Southeast, Cordero achieved success at the high school level leading Cathedral High School in Los Angeles to two consecutive play-off births, a League Championship and a CIF-SS Quarter-Final appearance. Cordero also spent a year at Pasadena City College as the Lancers Recruiting Coordinator and has worked numerous years with Playhard Baseball Club as a hitting instructor. Cordero will be working with Coach Mahoney on the Charger infield and hitters. Cordero holds a degree in Marketing from Upper Iowa University and is working on a Masters in Physical Education at Azusa Pacific.
