Cypress Highlights: Was the Chargers’ number one pitcher starting 17 games and pitching 129.2 innings… finished with an 8-4 record and a 2.29 ERA… collected 105 strikeouts and held opposing batters to .248 at the plate… pitched all ten innings for a complete game, extra-inning win against Golden West on May 18th while striking out eight batters... named to the First Team all-Orange Empire Conference... signed to play for Arizona State in 2009.
High School Highlights: A standout for Canyon, Curry was named Century League Pitcher of the Year his senior season leading the conference in ERA with 1.676 in 79.1 innings pitched with 96 strikeouts... earned a 10-0 record and 1.94 ERA his sophomore season on the way to a second team all-CIF selection… collected a record of 7-3 his senior year and earned second team all-CIF again… was a Louisville Slugger High School All-American finalist… drafted in the 32nd round to the White Sox.
