Cypress Highlights: Finished with a team best 11 wins placing him fourth on the season record book for total wins… was named to the All-Southern California team… was the only freshman on the team named to the first team All-Orange Empire Conference… suffered just one loss in 2009… struck out a 73 batters with a 3.35 ERA… struck out eight batters in 5.2 innings against Fullerton on March 7th.
High School Highlights: A three year standout for the Bruins… was the team’s Rookie of the Year as a sophomore with a .98 ERA… led Wilson to a CIF and National Championship in his junior year with a 2.47 ERA… won a Connie Mack and World Wood Bat National Championship… led the Bruins to a CIF Runner-Up finish in his senior season.
Personal: Born February 27, 1990… parents are Robert and Stephanie Hanson… brother Richard also played for Cypress… majoring in marketing… came to Cypress because it is the, “best program around.”
