Cypress Highlights: Started 27 games for the Chargers in the infield in 2008… stole five bases without being caught… finished with a .301 batting average with 19 RBI, eight doubles, and three homeruns… went three-for-six including a homerun for three RBI and three runs scored against Yuba on February 1st.
High School Highlights: Won the CIF Southern Section Championship his freshman season… earned a starting spot his sophomore season and progressed to Offensive Player of the Year his junior year with a .421 average including six triples and twelve doubles… finished his senior season as Offensive Player of the Year again with a .386 average… was selected to play in the North-South All-Star game where he hit a homerun.
Personal: Born on May 14th, 1989… parents are Kurt and Kim Hempe… sister is Jenna… majoring in criminal justice… chose to play at Cypress, “to get better, move on, and win a championship.
