Cypress Highlights: Was a 2008 First Team all-Orange Empire Conference selection as a freshman… produced a team high 48 RBI and 19 doubles… finished the year with a .357 batting average and five stolen bases… had six RBI in six at-bats with a homerun and a double against Irvine Valley on April 3rd.
High School Highlights: A four year varsity letter winner for the Vanguards… earned First-Team All-Century League his junior season… earned the Century League Championship and made it to the CIF Quarterfinals as a senior… named to the First Team all-Century League as a senior and Defensive Player of the Year… was a part of the Placentia Mustangs who were Junior Olympics Runners-up… was on the Yankees scout team… finished his senior season with a .333 average and 19 RBI… went four for four including a double against Canyon.
Personal: Born on October 18th, 1988… parents are William and Lisamarie Hurst… siblings are Steve and Gus… majoring in business administration… came to Cypress because, “I wanted to play at a respected, winning program.”
