A State Championship player on the 2003 State Championship Charger squad, Mahoney comes to the Chargers after gaining some experience coaching with Pickler in the Cape Cod Summer League the past two seasons winning the championship in 2004, 2006, and 2007. As a Charger, Mahoney batted .436 during the championship season. After Cypress, Mahoney moved on to the University of South Dakota and then Huron University.
