The chargers started early with Taylor Green hitting a double in the first but the inning ended scoreless leaving two on base. The second inning showed promise when Matt Miller started the inning with a double. The Chargers just could not seem to score as the next three batters struck out. The Griffins answered with a run in the third off of an RBI sac-fly and then another run in the sixth. Charger hitting ended with a single by Mike Vass in the seventh. Vass reached third but was stranded at the end of the inning.
