Henderson, Nev. - The Chargers left the state to Henderson Nevada to find three challenging games and came home with one win and two losses.

The Chargers first faced the host team Southern Nevada in a defensive battle. The Coyotes attacked first when their first batter hit a home run to take the 1-0 lead. The Chargers answered back in the third when Mike Evola stole second to get into scoring position and Garret Green belted him in to score. The Coyotes wasted no time scoring in the same inning for the 2-1 lead that they would not relinquish. It was a game of missed opportunities as the Chargers left 9 on base. Starting pitcher David Stokes allowed just one earned run in over 6 innings of work.
Note: CCSN forfeited the game due afterwards giving Cypress the win

Cypress and Salt Lake City College faced off next with the Bruins beating the Chargers 6-2. Salt Lake started the scoring with two runs in the 2nd. Cypress answered with an RBI by Blaine Wilson to score Ben Ornelas. The game got away from Cypress as the Bruins scored four more runs.

The Chargers ended their road trip by defeating Western Nevada 8-1. Pitcher Nick Rhodes notched his third win of the season to bring his record to 3-0. Rhodes pitched 3 innings allowing only 1 hit. The score was knotted at 1-1 in the 4th before the Chargers scored twice in the 5th and then exploded with four more runs in the sixth including a two-run RBI by Mike Vass.

The Chargers are back home for their next four games. They will face Southwestern Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Cypress. Southwestern is 5-6 and is coming off of a 4-3 win over East LA college.
