Cypress, Nev. - Cypress returned to their home field Tuesday afternoon hosting Palomar. After an error-filled loss on Sunday, the Chargers came out timid Tuesday in a 7-3 loss, the first loss on the home field this season. Sophomore centerfielder Jordan Foreman came off the bench to start the Charger offense two-for-two including a double with an RBI and a run scored.
Palomar got off to a strong start jumping ahead with six runs after seven innings while the Charger offense was stagnant scoreless until the eighth inning. Cypress finally came through in the eighth keyed by a leadoff double by Foreman. Foreman immediately scored off a double down the left field line by freshman second baseman Bryan Aanderud. Aanderud advanced to third after a single and then scored off of a wild pitch cutting the Palomar lead to 7-2.

Sophomore pitcher Gabriel Garcia suffered the loss falling to 1-1. Garcia pitched 6.1 innings striking out six batters.
Cypress (7-3) has a day off before hosting Allan Hancock on Thursday. The Chargers will host the Bulldogs Thursday at 2:00 pm.
