Cypress Highlights: Ruddy was the number two catcher for Cypress his freshman year appearing in 32 games and starting 13. He hit .224 including three doubles for seven RBI. Against Golden West, Ruddy went two for three including a double for three RBI and two runs scored.
High School Highlights: A standout at El Modena High School, Ruddy was named to the all-league team twice earning defensive player of the year twice and team Most valuable Player.
