Cypress Highlights: Tamba was the ace in the Charger bullpen posting a team best 12-3 record in 18 appearances and 15 starts. His 12 wins is a single season record for Cypress. His 2.03 ERA was best on the team with a team high 95.2 innings pitched with 90 strikeouts. Tamba held opposing batters to a .214 average and pitched one complete game with one save. Against Grossmont, Tamba pitched 7.2 innings allowing just five hits and striking out nine for the win. His efforts earned him First Team all-Orange Empire Conference and an All-American pick along with being inducted into the Cypress College Hall of Fame. Tamba was chosen in the seventh round of the MLB draft by the Orioles.
High School Highlights: Named to the all-league team twice, all-Empire twice, and pitcher of the year. The standout at Rancho Cotate High School was named the team's Most Valuable Player.
