|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until 4 Dec 2018

Interculture Club is a club which serves as an opportunity for students of Cypress College to meet people from a variety of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. It is a club that celebrates diversity and promotes acceptance and tolerance for one another. Interculture Club seeks to promote awareness of different cultures. The objective of the Interculture Club is to create bridges between various people who come from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and to expand the knowledge that peers have regarding one another’s cultural backgrounds. At every meeting students have the opportunity to learn about new cultures and try new customs, dances, and foods. Some of the events and activities the Interculture Club has planned include: international potluck, international costumes, a post-it challenge to practice kindness and tolerance, and cultural discussions. Interculture Club meets every Tuesday from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. in HUM-318. For questions or information contact the Interfaith Club advisor, Regina Rhymes, at rrhymes@cypresscollege.edu.
