Dana Bedard is one of the most well rounded coaches on staff at Cypress College. Bedard is in his ninth year of coaching the Cypress golf team while being a full professor and the athletic academic counselor at Cypress. Bedard has also been the head baseball coach at Oxford Academy in Cypress for six years earning five berths to the CIF playoffs and four consecutive Academy League championships.
Before his coaching career, Bedard played basketball at UC San Diego from 1978-81. He still holds records for his basketball efforts at Los Alamitos High School where he once scored 40 points in a single game and had 526 points in the 1976-77 season. After earning his bachelor’s from UC San Diego, Bedard went on to Cal State Long Beach for his master’s degree.
