Sexton Finishes Second in State, Earns All-State Honors

Roseville, Calif. - Freshman Scott Sexton was the sole representative for Cypress Monday at the State Championship tournament at Sierra View Country Club. Sexton represented the Chargers well finishing in a four way tie for first at 140. After playoffs, Sexton finished second following sophomore David Min’s first place finish from 2008.
Sexton had the second best score in the first round with a one under par 71. He followed with an even better performance on the second round shooting three under par at 69. Sexton’s performance earned him a spot on the All-State team.
