Cypress, Calif. - Cypress opened regular season action Wednesday morning teeing off at Navy Golf Course against Cuyamaca and Saddleback. Cypress defeated both with a team score of 370 beating out scores of 385 by Saddleback and 402 by Cuyamaca. The win is an upset over Saddleback who edged out Cypress at the conference tee-off tournament last week.
Sophomore Scott Sexton and freshman Nick Garrett were both medalists with scores of 71, one under par. The rest of the team was consistent at four over.
Cypress (2-0) has two weeks off before going on the road to take on Cuyamaca again at the Cottonwood golf course. They face off Wednesday February 24th at 11:00 am.
