Cypress, Calif. - The Chargers returned to their home course Monday morning after going 1-2 on the road over the past couple of weeks. Cypress remained perfect at home sweeping Riverside, Orange Coast, and Irvine Valley to improve to 5-0 at home so far this year. Freshman Nick Garrett was a medalist on the day with a one over par 73 performance.
Cypress outshot its nearest competitor by ten strokes with a 376 while Riverside and Orange Coast tied with 386. Irvine Valley finished with a 393. The win avenged Cypress’s loss to Riverside last week at Riverside. The Chargers were consistent throughout the day in the mid 70s. Freshman Mike Ryan finished the day strong for Cypress with a 74.
Cypress (6-2) has just a day off before going back on the road to take on Santa Ana. The teams will meet at Los Serranos Golf Course Wednesday at 10:00 am.
