Chargers Drop Third Straight

Cypress, Calif. – After a brief stand in first, Cypress has suffered a three game skid losing to Santa Ana, Orange Coast, and on Friday, Golden West. The Chargers were shutout in a second game 2-0.

After a scoreless half, Cypress’s defense allowed a Rustler goal in. GWC scored again as Cypress was unable to hit the net. Freshman keeper Rafael Verdin finished the game with seven saves.

Cypress (8-6-3, 4-4-2) has the weekend to regroup before heading to Riverside to take on the Tigers. The Chargers hope to bounce back and beat the Tigers again after a 3-1 victory the first time around. They meet again Tuesday at Riverside at 3:00 pm.
