Struggles Continue for Cypress in Second Half of Conference

Riverside, Calif. – The Chargers traveled to Riverside Tuesday hoping to beat the Tigers again and end a three game losing streak. Cypress struggled and was outscored 4-1 in the loss. Freshman midfielder Ricardo Alvarado scored Cypress’s only goal with an assist from freshman midfielder Nelson Preciado. Freshmen goalies Rafael Verdin and Nathan Fletcher split time in goal with Verdin making two saves and Fletcher making three.

Cypress (8-7-3, 4-5-2) falls below .500 in conference and hope to recover in their final home game Friday against Fullerton. Cypress and Fullerton tied 2-2 the first time around. They will face off again Friday at 3:00 pm at Cypress.
