Carlberg Finishes 6th in State

Mission Viejo, Calif. - Freshman Christopher Carlberg was the sole male representative of Cypress Swim and Dive over the weekend as he qualified for and competed in the State Championship in diving for 1 Meter and 3 Meter competitions. Carlberg finished strong in sixth place in the 1 meter competition and 13th in the 3 meter competition. He scored 17 total points for Cypress to give Cypress a 25th place finish in the state meet.
Carblerg started with the 3 meter competition where he placed 13th with a score of 157.25. He ended with his strongest event in the 1 meter competition. Carlberg finished as the state’s sixth best diver with a 219.45 score for 13 points for Cypress.
