Cypress Bounces Back to Winning Ways

Fullerton, Calif. - Cypress returned to action Tuesday after suffering its first loss of the season Saturday at Mt. San Jacinto. The Chargers got right back to business repeating their 8-1 win over Fullerton from earlier in the season. Freshman Victor Peinado notched a strong win in the number six singles spot 6-3, 7-5.
The Chargers started strong sweeping singles including hard fought wins by sophomore Deondre Moss and freshman Gabriel Dias. With the win already clinched, Cypress won two of three in doubles to end the day.
Cypress (12-1, 7-0) moves on to tomorrow’s action where they will take on NCAA Division III Amherst University. The teams will meet at 2:00 pm at Cypress on Wednesday.
