A Message from Cypress College's President, Dr. Michael Kasler
It is an honor for me to greet our 2011 graduates. Each one of you has persevered on your own personal journey of sacrifice and hard work to arrive at this milestone, and you have successfully struck a balance between responsibilities inside and outside of the classroom to get to this point. I know that some of you were able to pursue your studies full-time, while others took a longer route, combining work and maybe family responsibilities with your academic program. No matter what, I hope you never forget the commitment, drive, and determination it took for you to achieve this goal. On May 26, as you approach the stage to accept your diploma, know that you have rightfully earned the respect and sincere admiration of your parents, siblings, relatives, friends, teachers and peers. May you carry this banner of success into the future. I congratulate and salute you for achieving your goal!
