Timely Warning: Employee Reports Lewd Behavior in Lot 4

A female employee reported to Campus Safety that a man in a vehicle engaged in lewd behavior in front of her while she was walking in Parking Lot 4 around 8 a.m. Thursday.

The employee reported she first saw the man driving down Orange St. near the Cypress College tennis courts, where he made a U-turn and cut her off as she was walking onto campus. The man then followed her onto campus as she went through Parking Lot 4 and cut across her path with his vehicle at least two additional times in an attempt to engage with her. She immediately reported the incident to Cypress College Campus Safety, as well as to the Cypress Police Department.

She described the suspect as a male in his 30s or 40s with black, spiked hair. He was driving a white, two-door, newer-model Honda Civic with a partial license plate of “7XV.”

Campus Safety and Cypress Police are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information about the incident or about the suspect should contact Campus Safety at (714) 484-7387. Imminent threats should be reported to 911.

Students and employees are encouraged to immediately report uncomfortable incidents or suspicious behavior to Campus Safety and/or Cypress Police. Additionally, students are reminded that Campus Safety can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at (714) 484-7387, and that it is important to program that number into their mobile phones for quick access.
