Meet Marisa

Marisa Lehmeier started working as a part-time Counselor for DSS in August of 2012. She received the full-time DSS Counselor position at Cypress College July 1, 2015. She enjoys working with our students at Cypress College and seeing student’s achieve their academic goals.

While working part-time at Cypress College, Marisa also worked at Cerritos College as a part-time Counselor for CalWORKs for two years. Prior to her Counseling experience, Marisa attended Cerritos College where she received her A.A. degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, then transferred to California State University of Fullerton where she received her B.S. degree in Human Services. Marisa then went on to receive her M.A. in Guidance and Counseling.

Marisa enjoys spending time with her husband and trying new activities. She loves to be at the beach and soak up the sun. She likes to travel and visit new places and experience other cultures. Marisa is looking forward to working with all students and wishes you a successful semester!
