Cypress Outscores Opponents 7-0 over Weekend

Chargers extend win streak to six games.

Saratoga, Calif. – Cypress went on their annual trip up North to face Cabrillo and West Valley. The trip was a success as they shut out both opponents and scored seven goals to improve their record to 6-0 to lead the state. Freshman goalie Kassandra Imbrogno showed her mettle with shutouts in both games.

The Chargers started with Cabrillo Friday scoring five goals and allowing none for the 5-0 victory. Sophomore midfielder Tiffany Craig scored two goals while freshman midfielder Amanda Martinez added two assists. Cypress took a day off and then headed to West Valley where they took the 2-0 win. Sophomore forward Yvonne Vasquez scored one goal and assisted on the other.

Cypress comes back to Southern California to begin conference play. The Chargers will start with the 1-2 Fullerton Hornets. The teams will face of Tuesday at 3:00 pm at Fullerton.
