Chargers Start the Season off Muddled in a 2-2 Tie

Oxnard, Calif. – Cypress started the 2007 season against a tough opponent at the Oxnard Tournament against Cerritos. The two battled it out for ninety minutes ending in a 2-2 tie. Sophomore midfielder Nydia Hurtado made her return for Cypress scoring a goal.
Sophomore captain Dani Castro made an impact with an assist. Freshman forward Natalie Farah made her collegiate debut with a goal of her own. Sophomore keeper Kassandra Imbrogno allowed two goals but made eight saves playing the entire game.
Cypress goes on to Sunday’s tournament action facing Rio Hondo at Oxnard.
