Santa Cruz, Calif. – Cypress finished the 2006 season with just two ties. After Friday’s game at Cabrillo, the 2007 squad has already matched that total after just four games played. Cypress hopped on a plane and traveled north to Cabrillo Friday and finished the day in a 1-1 tie. Freshman forward Natalie Farah was Cypress’s lone goal scorer, her second this season.
The first half finished scoreless as neither team could top the other. Both teams scored a goal in the second for the eventual tie. Farah’s goal was due to an assist from sophomore midfielder Dani Castro, her third assist this season.
Cypress has a day off and stays on the road facing West Valley next. West Valley is 0-3 this season coming off of a 1-0 loss to American River. The two will meet up on Sunday at West Valley at 1:00 pm.
