Riverside, Calif. – Last year on the way to Riverside, a Cypress van got into a traffic accident delaying the game that would eventually end in a tie. This time, the Chargers piled into a bus and made it without a hitch this time scoring a decisive win 4-2. Freshman midfielder Maureen Murphy scored her first and second goals of the season to lead Cypress.
Freshmen midfielders Catrina Flores and Jessica McMaster added the other two Cypress goals. Freshman forward Natalie Farah chipped in with two assists while freshman midfielder Jackiee Roman and sophomore midfielder Dani Castro added the other two. Sophomore keeper Kassandra Imbrogno spent half the game in the goal allowing the two Tiger goals and making one save. Freshman Tracy Pabigian played the other half facing no shots.
Cypress has the weekend off to gear up for the last week of the regular season. They will start with action on Tuesday in Cypress’s last guaranteed home game against Orange Coast. The last time the teams met, Cypress defeated the Pirates 4-1. They will face off again Tuesday at 3:00 pm at Cypress.
