Santa Barbara, Calif. – After a shocking tie at San Bernardino earlier in the week, Cypress was hoping for a definitive win on the road at Santa Barbara Friday but were denied again. The Chargers and Vaqueros battled through the entire game without a goal ending the game in a 0-0 draw. Freshman goalie Whitney Joslin prevented a loss with five saves.
Cypress falls to 4-0-2 and has a few days off before preparing for their home and conference opener Tuesday. The Chargers will play host to the 1-1-2 Pirates of Orange Coast. OCC is coming off of a 1-0 win over East Los Angeles. The two will open conference Tuesday at Cypress at 3:00 pm.
