Cypress Completes a Solid Win

Santa Ana, Calif. – The Chargers had put themselves through three straight tough games with two ties and a one goal victory before finally notching a solid win Friday afternoon. Cypress took down Santa Ana on the road 2-0 to stay undefeated. Sophomore defender Samantha Bock paced Cypress with a goal, her first this season.

Freshman midfielder Alexandria Roque notched her first collegiate goal for the Chargers second. Sophomore midfielder Jackiee Roman collected an assist. Freshman keeper Whitney Joslin picked up her sixth shutout making one save.

Cypress improves to 5-0-2 and 2-0 in conference. The Chargers have a bye on Tuesday before going back on the road Friday to take on Irvine Valley. The two meet up next Friday at Irvine Valley at 3:00 pm.
