Fullerton, Calif. – The Chargers headed to Fullerton Tuesday to take on the Hornets after putting up an easy win last week. Cypress may have been a victim of overconfidence as Fullerton upset the Chargers in a 1-0 loss. This marks the first time in program history that Cypress has lost to Fullerton. This is also Cypress’s first loss this season and the first goal they have given up in conference. Freshman keeper Whitney Joslin made seven saves on the day.
Cypress falls to 7-1-2 and 3-1 in conference. The must collect themselves to take on a much improved Riverside squad. The Tigers are 7-1-1 and are holding first place in conference with a 4-0 record coming off of a 5-0 win over Irvine Valley. The two face off Friday at 3:00 pm at Cypress.
