Chargers Triumphant in Rivalry Match, Take a Share of the OEC Championship

Orange, Calif. – The Chargers took on Santiago Canyon Friday in the finale of Orange Empire Conference action. Cypress was one game behind the Hawks and was able to edge out SCC 1-0 to take a tie for the OEC Championship for the first time since 2004. Sophomore midfielder Diana Gallegosscored the winning goal for Cypress with the assist coming from freshman forward Juliane Adams.

Cypress finishes the regular season 17-1-4 and 13-1-2 in conference in a tie for first. The Chargers are also ranked third in Southern California in power points. Cypress will await playoff seedings which begin Saturday November 22nd.
