Cypress Leaves The Owls Scoreless In Low Scoring Match

Los Altos Hills, Calif. - Cypress pulls off a victory against the 2008 Coast Conference Champions, Foothill College. In a low scoring match, Cypress found ways to defend their undefeated non-conference record playing well together as a team for the 2-0 win. Sophomore midfielder Amber Lopez started the schoring with a goal in the 45th minute.
The Chargers started out quiet, but erupted after Lopez’s goal scored off of sophomore midfielder Casey Kiehl’s assist. In the 85th minute, sophomore forward Juliane Adams sealed the victory after scoring unassisted in the 85th minute. Cypress played made out with 8 shots on goal. Freshmen goalkeeper Chelsea Broghamer, continued her shutout streak to three, allowing zero goals. Broghamer made 2 saves from 5 shots for the day.
Cypress (4-0) plays their last non-conference game on Sunday against West Valley College. The two will meet at West Valley College at 1:00 p.m.
