Chargers Honored with Conference Awards

Cypress, Calif. – The Orange Empire Conference honored their best and brightest with their annual naming of the All-Conference Team. Cypress boasted six players total on the first and second team. Sophomore midfielder Dani Castro was named to the first team all-conference for the second time. As the Chargers’ captain, Castro finished fourth in conference total points with 26 including nine goals and eight assists.
Freshmen Chargers also were highlighted on the first team. Natalie Farah finished fourth in the conference’s goal total with ten. Samatha Jones represented Cypress’s defense and made her presence known offensively as the charger penalty and free kick specialist with five goals and six assists in conference.
Sophomore Amanda Martinez and freshmen Jessica McMaster and Megan Boland were also honored for second team all-conference.
Dani Castro was named to the First Team all-Conference.
