Chargers Prominent on All-Conference List

Cypress, Calif. – The 2009 Orange Empire Conference team was announced today with six Chargers featured on the list. Sophomore midfielder Nicole Weil was named to the First Team for the second year in a row. Weil was joined by freshman midfielder Hina Lilii and sophomore midfielder Amber Lopez on the First Team list. Sophomore midfielder Casey Kiehl followed up her First Team selection in 2008 with a Second Team selection this season. Freshman forward Vanesa Corona and freshman defender ChristiAna Lang were both also named to the Second Team.
Cypress was led by Weil in the midfield who scored four goals and added five assists. Lilii anchored the midfield for Cypress and Lopez added four goals and five assists as well.
