Alvarez returns to Cypress after a successful career at second base for Auburn where she graduated with a degree in mass communications. She played 126 games over her two year career at Auburn collecting 33 RBI her senior season. Alvarez earned a scholarship to Auburn after a successful career at Cypress in 2001 and 2003. She led the Chargers to a conference championship in 2003 on the way to co-MVP for the Orange Empire Conference and an All-State selection. The Buena Park High School graduate will be coaching strength and conditioning with the Chargers and will be working with the middle infielders.
