Cypress Highlights: Castillo appeared in 28 games for the Chargers in 2006, starting in five. She hit .250 in 40 at bats for six RBI and five runs scored. Against Sequoias, Castillo hit a three run double and scored a run herself.
High School Highlights: A four year varsity starter at St. Paul High School, Castillo earned all-league honors for three seasons. In 2004, she was named to the Long Beach Press Telegram’s all-area team. In Castillo’s senior campaign, she was named the league’s Most Valuable Player and named to the all-CIF team.
Personal: Born on January 30th, 1986… parents are Angie and James Herndon… majoring in physical education… came to Cypress because “they were the best around.”
